HOW DO I FEEL ON THE INSIDE?
Draw a picture on a blank piece of paper. Use magazines to cut out a montage of photos.
Use what ever medium you like to use to express how you feel.
When you reflect on your life, what did you feel when you decided to start this course.
When asked to draw a picture of “How do I Feel,” this 54-year-old man drew this picture of himself.
He had been abused as a child, called names and ridiculed in high school, went to the army to become a man only to be raped by gays in the barracks.
He lived for 30 years as a gay man only to hit bottom and cry out for help.
When I met him he was a mess of insecurity and brokenness. This picture tells so much about his life of pain.
What is your picture of your pain? We all have a picture in our head of how we feel.
Do something to allow it to shape a picture, a drawing, a montage that you build in answer to this question: “How do I feel.”
How do I want to feel?
Now, draw a second picture on a blank piece of paper. This time, draw a picture of what you want to feel like.
When you complete these two drawings, take a photo of them with and attach them as an attachment in an email to the office.
