Prescription for Life
What prescription should I take daily to stay healthy?
If you were sick, a doctor would issue a prescription for you to take. Paul gives us such a prescription for our spiritual health:
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

b. What changes need to be made in my life to appropriate this verse?

A merry heart does good like a medicine…
Have you ever noticed that when you truly are laughing at something or with someone, it is impossible to be depressed?
Think about it: if you are depressed you are turning all of your thoughts inward. Yet, when you begin to laugh at something or with someone, you are letting go of your emotions and allowing your heart to be merry.
At that very moment, the focus is off of yourself and on something or someone else. Your thoughts are changed, even for just the moment, and you are able to break away from the dark cloud that covers your mind, will, and emotions.
What are nine ways I can activate laughter in my life?
-Go to a clean Christian comedy club for a night out
-Read a light-hearted novel or book
-Read a joke book
-Look in the mirror and smile
-Laugh at yourself when you make a mistake
-Laugh at the circumstance when life throws you a curve ball
-Don’t take life so seriously
-Allow yourself to play with your spouse and children
– Work with plants or plant a garden – enjoy and laugh with nature
In the spirit realm, turn away from your problems by entering into a time of celebration and praise of your living Lord. Celebrating worship works wonders on a wounded heart. Allow yourself to dance before God, to clap your hands, sing to the top of your lungs or anything else that allows you to express the celebration of God’s sovereignty in your life.
Answer these personal questions:
1. I feel like celebrating about:
2. When I celebrate an event or date or person, how do I go about it?
3. When I am in the midst of celebrating something or someone, I feel:

One of the most typical problems for a person who has been hurt sexually is to be able to feel clean on the inside.
Many time women who have been sexually abused, raped, molested or aborted many times report feeling dirty on the inside. One woman reported that although she was nearly 50 years old, that never in her life had she felt clean.

There is a need to CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE. When you think of it, life
involves relating to others. The first key to celebrating your life is to celebrate your
God-given identity. We have looked in depth at who you are in Jesus Christ. You
have worked through various promises and were asked to apply them to yourself.
It is our prayer for you that you now realize that you have a special identity free of
shame and guilt. You are precious to God.
However, there is one area about which almost every victim of abortion, rape,
incest, sexual abuse feels dirty and damaged: our sexuality. Rather than go through
the rest of your life feeling dirty and afraid to be intimate with your spouse, try to
face this pain and begin to celebrate your God-given sexuality in marriage.
Your Heavenly Father created some of us male and the others female with a
fundamental purpose in mind.
The two should become one flesh in marriage.
a. Read GENESIS 2:24.”Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
(Matthew 19:5-6, MARK 10:8, Ephesians 5:31)
One flesh means that the female and male join together one inside the other to become one. Literally, when we reproduce, the woman takes the sperm from the man and then gives life through her ovum. The two become one.
